The complicated process of creating hands starts from a drawing of mine created having to calculate every space between one line and the other, this to facilitate the subsequent work and avoid breaking the wood.  It then passes into his hands for cutting and inserting the lead.

 It is a very particular material;  heavy but soft to model and very complex to insert in the cuts of the design.  This constantly evolving series of paintings is made with strips of different thicknesses.  Here, in the northern regions of Brazil, it is mainly used for fishing.
